To me, a good game is one that you can revisit at any point in your life. You don't outgrow good games. They become a part of who you are. Games give you a sense of accomplishment, but Pokémon does that while bringing friendship and adventure to the fore. Even as a grown adult, seeing Pokémon in the real world powers me up. As part of the original 90s generation that got to experience Pokémon first, it's beautiful to see it being passed down, generation after generation like a rite of passage. It's a game world that is globally understood, across time, and generations. What a beautiful, truly good game.
