This is the iconic poolside bar of the Roosevelt Hotel, which was the place I stayed in on my very first business trip to LA to E3 2008. I would never have imagined I would end up marrying an American and moving to LA eleven years later. So every time since I've been to this bar, looking up at the red skies and silhouettes of the palm trees, I'm taken back to a younger me and delighted by how life is full of surprises
