After getting off the school bus from elementary school, I'd run to the basement and plop down with a snack in front of our family's desktop. My parents didn't come back from work until later at night, so I'd have hours to myself to play Neopets. Often times I'd be in too deep and forget to turn on the lights, so I'd end the night with a happy heart and strained eyes from only using the bright glow of the computer screen in the dark. One of my favorite things to do was grab the free omelette slice and play mini games – I even taught myself how to draw thanks to the - official- Neopets drawing tutorials on their website. Neopets will always remind me of some of my first MS Paint art experiences and carefree afternoons.
