Ever since I was little I’ve been enamored with the world of video games, and even more so the women I saw in them. With the flip of a switch on my consoles I could be that main character who is burdened with the weight of the world, but still remains gentle and kind—badass, yet beautiful. I could wax poetic on the many female characters as such who have influenced who I am and strive to be, but my own love letters to them have mainly come in the form of cosplay. This piece is my ode to that craft. To spend hours upon hours crafting the perfect outfit, accessories, weapons, and wigs is truly a labor of love— all made worth it so I can feel like the Main Girl for a day.
